Beyond an etiquette consultant certification, her qualifications include Executive Concierge for two major hotel chains in Los Angeles, CA; A&R Director and Executive Producer for a leading Gospel record label; and creator of a hospitality brand for a boutique bank in Nashville. 

As professional actor, her degree from Howard University in drama, SAG/AFTRA and Actor’s Equity memberships, make sessions as entertaining as they are informative.

Ms. Marcía has spent the last 20-plus years helping educators shape the character of college students; elevating the authenticity and integrity of entrepreneurs; increasing professional influence, and credibility of corporate staff and executive leadership. Denise's individual and private trainings have supported a mayoral candidate, and a CEO. Each purpose included specific branding skills that reflected the power dynamics of their positions.

Denise tours colleges and universities, and works within businesses, corporations, and organizations sharing the "ABCs" of personal and professional excellence: 

Appearance (Presence), Business Protocol, and Communication. 

She presents real-world guidelines regarding professional presence, grooming and attire, teleconferencing, networking, interviewing, business dining, corporate culture, diversity and inclusion, electronic and social media communication, travel and hotel decorum, and international protocol.  

Denise's  self-published book, “Handle Your  Business! - Etiquette ‘Quick Notes’ for the Young Executive” was a "sold out" hit with college students. Two additional books she co-authored, "Truth Be Told" and "The Black Male - Heads or Tales" share key moments of her life. Recently, she briefly took on the title of “radio personality.” Her 30-minute show, “Polishing Business Professionals” aired on a local Richmond radio station.

Her expertise extends to training youth in important social skills. Undergirding the training of parents, Ms. Marcía adds to their direction with specificity and current examples. She encourages and empowers young people to safely and successfully navigate our world.
